We’re seeking writers with solutions to today’s global socio-economic problems. Submissions should be original works with minimal A.I. use. Topics include, but are not limited to:

Education

Medical Care

Elder Care

Mass Incarceration

Affordable Housing

Inflation

Child Care

Legal Support

Immigration

Hunger / Homelessness

Rules

The Competition is open to all who apply, of legal working age, with social security number and valid ID, ages 16+ as defined by the State of Illinois jurisdiction. 

  1. Papers shall be no longer than 6 pages.   

  2. Papers should be submitted via e-mail, only.  Author is responsible for their own copyright. 

  3. Paper topics should include any range of global social problems. 
  4. Paper must include a well-devised plan of action or solution to solve the social problem, including, but not limited to a realistic budget (if existing) and strategies for execution.

  5. Author is responsible for all citations and assumes responsibility for any discovered plagiarism.  Author and all participating parties agree to hold the writing contest entity free of liability or harm for any alleged plagiarism.

  6. Any use of A.I. must be documented and disclosed.  Non-documented discover of A.I. use is grounds for dismissal.

Selection of Winners

Selection of winners. Winning papers will be selected by a committee of members of iAmMajority.com Competition winners will be notified via telephone or e-mail 30 days prior to announcement of the winners. 

Winners must attend 2026 annual meeting either via virtual attendance or in-person to claim prize. 

Prizes

Cash prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250 are typically awarded for the top three papers. Other winners may be honorable mentions.  All winners will be published the 5th Majority Annual Report (Volume 5).  The committee may, in its discretion, decide to split prizes or award additional prizes.

Deadline for Submission

All papers submitted for the Competition must be received by the Foundation by no later than 9:00 p.m. EDT, May 1, 2026 by e-mail.

Cover Page Information

Each submitted paper shall have a cover page which includes (i) the title of the article; (ii) the author’s full name, address, phone number and e-mail address of the submitting applicant. The title of the paper shall also appear on the first page of the paper.
